Giving Pets a Healthy Alternative

Let’s be honest, our fur babies are our children. We want them to be as healthy and happy as possible. To keep them healthy we have to ensure a proper diet and to cut out the bad stuff. The bad stuff we’re referring to are the ingredients that are difficult to pronounce and those that we even have to look them up to know what they are. The other type is filler ingredients. Dun, dun, dun!

Just like you, we don’t want our pets eating things we don’t recognize or fillers they don’t need, which is why here at Pawsitively Fresh, we don’t use either. Unlike many of our competitors, we’re completely straightforward and upfront with our ingredients. Heck, we even encourage you to look them up – we have! We promise that each ingredient in our products is something you’re likely familiar with and might even be something you use to cook at home!

As well, we pride ourselves on having just a few, simple ingredients listed on our ingredient list.

Improving the Welfare of All Pets

Improving the welfare of all pets (and strays) is the main reason why we started our business.

Specifically, there were two problems we identified that we wanted to help address: fillers in dog treats/food and giving back to our furry friends. In this column, we will be talking about the welfare of our furry friends.

Issues of animal welfare can be seen anywhere, be at on vacation to another country or even here, at home. It’s a sight that breaks all of our hearts and encourages us from deep down to do something about it. It’s the quality of welfare of our best friends. Our friends welfare can be somewhat dire. Examples could be a “mangy” and malnutrition dog searching for it’s next meal or even any person who has rescued a dog and knew about their backstory, which typically isn’t very pleasant. We want to do as much as we can to help prevent these situations, home and abroad.

The other issue is very common and is practiced by many of our competitors: dumping filler and various unhealthy ingredients into dog treats and dog food. As pet owners ourselves, we are very conscientious about what kind of food we feed our pets, as I’m sure you are. No one wants to read a list of ingredients on their dog’s bag of food and find things there they can’t pronounce. Don’t just take our word for it – pick up the bag and read it. Some brands have nearly two dozen ingredients in their food, many of which are completely foreign and require a degree in chemistry or a rigorous Google search to understand.

To tackle these issues, we want to start at the root of the problems, and we need your help. First, we wanted to offer a healthy alternative treat for pets that provides many different health benefits; no filler, no junk. To address the second issue, we’ve made a commitment to giveback to organizations and charities that are on the forefront of pawsitive change, which is why for every purchase of a Pawsitively Fresh Product, a portion of the proceeds is donated to organizations whose mission and goals align with ours – to ensure the well-being of man’s best friend both in the home and in the wild.

Making All Dogs Happy!

Dogs are perfect at making us happy. You know when you walk through the door after a long day of school or work and they’re there eagerly awaiting your return selflessly giving out kisses and cuddles? Times when you’re sad and they ignore personal space by demanding pets, tapping you with their paws or just trying to help bring out your smile? How about when you come home and a shoe is missing because they want to play hide and go seek? Okay…the last one wasn’t a great example, but we try to believe they did it because they wanted to play.

Well, we want to help you return those thoughtful favors.
