The Team

Chris

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to read about the people (and dogs) behind the Pawsitively Fresh! brand.

I am the dog father behind the brand. I’m passionate about animals and their well being. I’ve worked in areas where tremendous amounts of stay dogs resided (one area in which I personally rescued Wesley), I’ve volunteered countless hours with the Edmonton Humane Society (EHS), an organization which shares my goals and values, and have spent many years looking for ways to improve the lives of our furry friends – both adopted and stray.

The main focus behind the Pawsitively Fresh! brand is to make a difference in all dogs’ lives. We’re proud to say that all of the ingredients we use in our dog treats are healthy and each treat has only a few ingredients because we want to ensure that our snacks are delicious and healthy for your pet. In an effort to put our money where our mouth is, a portion of the proceeds for any of our products is donated to a group of hand-picked charities, rescues and organizations that assist and advocate for pets to ensure they have a healthy and safe life.

Hello! I’m the baker here at PawsitivelyFresh! I’ve been lucky enough to spend my life around fur-babies, and have developed a great appreciation and love for our furry friends.

My passions are dogs, baking, sustainability, and community. I love getting to make tasty treats for my fur-babies, and making their tails wag a little faster. I’m excited to combine all my passions, all while helping fur-babies and making them happy.

My background is in environmental science and sustainability here in Edmonton. I’m working to make sure all our treats are good for our dogs, and our world around us. I’m proud to say that every step of our process has been viewed through a sustainability lens. We have worked hard, and will continue to work on decreasing our waste, and continue to decrease our ecological footprint on our world.

We will introduce the rest of our team very shortly (unless you scroll ahead). The next members of our team have played a vital role in how our treats are made, what treats we choose to produce, and on shaping the path for our company going forward. We could even say that they are the real MVP’s Spoiler alert: (Most Valuable Puppies). Below are our MVPs and a little about them:

I’m the oldest, adopted from the Edmonton Humane Society on October 2011. Chris came in almost every day for 2 weeks to find the right match, and I immediately took a liking to him the first time we met because he smelled like food. I was adopted as an energetic 1-year-old puppy and even now, as a grumpy old man, I’m still full of love. I enjoy dog parks, long walks, zoomies and barking at literally everything, moving or not. My favorite treat is all of them.

“I’m Chris’s other son. He found me in one of the many groups of stray dogs that he’s rescued. When he tried to pick me up to take me home the first time, he figured out quick that I don’t like being held. I leapt out of his arms and ran away in the dark and he had to frantically run around for 45 minutes trying to find me. It’s not my fault though, I had lived in the wild for the first year and a half of my life until I met Chris, which is why I had such extreme anxiety. With continual love, affection and support (and quite a few delicious treats), I have blossomed into a loving zooming rocket, who also enjoys cuddling. My favorite treat is the Coconut Dill Sweet Paw-tato Slims.

Your Dog

Your furry friend is actually an important member of our taste panel as well. Their choices and your feedback help us in perfecting our line of delicious and healthy treats.
